Two new Flawless Tour Dates for the state of Maine!
-On July 11th at 11am in Norway, Maine, Gioia will perform at the Norway Arts Festival. Performance will take place on the teen stage. Expect a GREAT show!

-On August 21st at 7pm in Livermore Falls, Maine, Gioia will perform at the 6th Annual Frantasia Festival of Out Music and Arts. Gioia's performance will take place at Murray Hall, Main St and his set will kick off this electric event!

A very special thank you to Make Music Cambridge! for all their support and hospitality at yesterday's show. Luckily the rain held off just long enough for us to perform our complete show along with our large screen video presentation. I have to admit, when we set up all that electrical equipment outside along with a portable generator, without cover, in the MIST, I was quit nervous BUT somehow, the rain held off and we took Harvard Square by storm! Special thanks also goes out to all those people dancing outside under the threat of rain. It was GREAT FUN!!!

- Add June 21st to the Flawless Tour schedule! Gioia will be performing at least 1 full set at the outdoor festival "Make Music Cambridge" occurring in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Ma. Time and exact location of his performance will be announced in early June. Gioia and the Flawless set being performed in the electric atmosphere of Harvard Square is sure to be a blast so stay tuned for more info!

- Gioiamusic has a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Gioia is teaming up with two of the hottest producers in the Northeast, producer Marc Soucy of AudioMusicVoice www.audiomusicvoice.com, and producer Jared Hancock of SureFire Music group www.myspace.com/jaredsurefire, to collaborate on Gioia's current album project "Flawless"! Marc Soucy is a veteran music producer with a long standing reputation for the highest quality of work in the Boston music scene with multiple producing, writing and performing credits under his name including Gioia's first two albums (Create It Together & CIT Maxi-Single) along with artists El Kapitan (Retroscape), David Hull (bassist for Buddy Miles, The Joe Perry Project, rock trio Fahrenheit, James Montgomery, and live fill in for Aerosmith), Don T (Screwface Entertainment) and Stacey Peasley (Overcome, Downfall and Greener). Jared Hancock and SureFire Music Group have been very active, recently working with artists Makio (Trippin and MTV's "Making the band 4"), Brooke Hogan (Falling), Left Eye (from TLC), Renee Marcou (Collide and Don't Let Go), and along with commercial work for the leader in sports apparel, Under Armour. This collaboration of 3 great song writers is bound to produce a cutting edge modern pop sound beyond what we typically hear from today's pop productions. The release date of their first collaborated track, "Angel Child", is scheduled for June 8th, 2009. So get ready Boston to move your body and your mind, and be sure.......... - April showers bring May flowers along with new music and videos from Gioia!

- Alas, the first full month of spring has ended which means we are 1 month closer to what promises to be a very HOT summer for Gioia music! Gioia is spending all spring writing and recording his new original tracks for his soon to be released, 3rd album "Flawless". Also, he is producing and editing brand new video montages for each song to be used during his Flawless Tour performances and YouTube promos along with designing the electronic state of the art video presentation details of the Flawless Tour set . And lastly, besides, writing, recording, producing, editing and designing original music, videos and electronic details, Gioia has been locked away in an undisclosed location rehearsing day and night for the Flawless Tours kick off performance scheduled for May 15th at the Unity Music Festival in Salisbury, Maryland. At the Unity Music Festival Gioia will unveil the entire new stage show with music and videos, along with pop and lock dancer Christine Jerscheid!

- Come see Gioia perform tonight at the Oasis Cafe! Show starts at 8pm.

- Gioia will be performing at the Unicity Performing Arts Festival in Salisbury, Maryland
at the town's 110-acre Winterplace Park! The grounds will feature perse artist showcases, with over 200 performers on 5 stages in front of an expected crowd of 5,000 people. Last year's event featured director John Waters and The Fixx.

The Unicity Performing Arts Festival's goal is to unite different races, sexes and cultures through the persity of the performing arts. The festival is also host to the Discover persity Educational Program and Rock the Recycle Program amongst others to help reinforce that mission. A portion of the proceeds go to a charity. This year's charity is The Tomorrow Fund.

Festival is scheduled for May 15th and 16th. Gioia's performance time will be posted in April. Hope to see you there!

- The new month of March means NEW MUSIC from Gioia!
This month Gioia will be in the recording studio with producer Marc Soucy, working on brand new material. At least three brand new tracks will be released by April 1st along with a complete musical style change from Gioia's debut CD, "Create It Together". We can't say much more other than put your dancing shoes on!

Thank you all for helping create a GREAT month of music for Gioia! So bye bye February, and hello March, which can only mean one thing (besides March Madness!).......

- So February ends just as it started; with a snow storm halting Gioia's travel. This time all flights have been grounded so Gioia is stuck in Florida until the snow storm blows out of Beantown. Oh how will he endure such a horrible fate!

- Catch Gioia perform in Gulfport today at "Get Rescued........ in Gulfport" from noon to 6pm. Festival will be held is at Beach Blvd, in downtown Gulfport. "Get Rescued in Gulfport" is a festival which offers all animal rescue groups an opportunity to showcase their rescue and raise much needed funds. "Get Rescued in Gulfport" was established in 2003 with the sole purpose of bringing together 501 (c) (3) registered 'non profit' animal rescue charities. The City of Gulfport is enthusiastic about the idea of a festival atmosphere that will allow rescue groups to showcase adoptable pets, promote their work and raise money so their cause may be continued. So come on down to the boulevard, catch some rays, sing some songs with Gioia, and help a wonderful furry friend find a new home!!!!

- Gioia performs tonight in Portland, Maine at the Dogfish Bar and Grille which was voted Portland's top acoustic venue! Tomorrow Gioia departs for Gulfport, Florida for his all day performance on Feb. 28th at the "Get Rescued....in Gulfport" Festival to benefit local animal rescue groups. From snowy Portland, Maine to sunny Florida in less than 12 hours, Gioia is on the go!

- Great News!!! Gioia's music and videos will be broadcasted live, coast to coast, on the "Independent Coffee Network". The network consists of flat screen TVs placed in independent coffee shops that are programmed with artistic video content and music. So sit back, sip a cup of java and enjoy your favorite Gioia tune!

- Special thanks to Gracie from Kings Billiards for all her hospitality during my performance!

- Gioia has been selected to perform at one of Maine's best summer events, the Norway Arts Festival occurring on Saturday, July 11th. Performance time to be announced. Happy summer!

- On March 14th, Gioia will be the featured performer at the Oasis Cafe & Art Center in Long Valley NJ. Show time is 8:30pm. We hope to see you there!

- Gioia has been selected to perform at Kennedy's Midtown Irish Pub and Steak House, located in downtown Boston. Stay tuned for performance dates for what promises to be a great show!

January 2009

- Alas, the first month of 2009 is at an end but what a month it has been! I had performances in MA. NY, and DC PLUS witnessing the inauguration of our 44th president, it was a GREAT way to start 2009. And I would like to thank my former employer (who will remain nameless) for setting me FREE and making it all so possible. And to the millions of people who have been laid off over the last 6 months because of corporate greed, I say to you……. keep pursuing your dreams! Take advantage of this time and turn being laid off into the best thing that ever happened to you. So let February and the performances roll on in, as we kick off the month on Feb 3rd, with a performance at “AMERICAN TRASH” in downtown New York Citaaaay and on Feb 28th, we end the month with an all day performance in GULFPORT FLORIDA at "Get Rescued in Gulfport", where songs will be sung, new friends will be made and getting a TAN is a guaranteed part of the work day! LIVING THE DREAM BABY!

- Hi all.......I'm BACK!!!!!!!! It was quite the time in DC! Millions of people and lots of love. It was a historic moment for the whole country and for those of us who experienced it first hand, we will NEVER forget it! As for the DC traffic.....AWFUL! The whole town was in gridlock for 2 days and I almost missed my gig. Several streets were closed and no one, including the police knew what streets were open to traffic and what streets were closed. In single digit temperatures, I had to park my car and walk 10 blocks, only to find out the Ball I was performing at was on the other side of town, much too far to walk and there was too much traffic to take a taxi. So, it took a brave young soul from NY, who pedaled me over 2 miles in a ricksha, most of it uphill, to get me from the Washington Monument to DuPont Circle in record time. Without him, I would of missed the Ball.......... TRUE STORY! Thank you brave young soul from New York, just like Cinderella's fairy godmother, you SAVED my night!

- Gioia is on the road, heading to Washington, DC along with 2 million other people for the BIG EVENT! Along the way many songs will be sung, stories will be told, and friends and history will be made. I hope to see you there!

- Gioia hits the road performancing in 4 cities in 8 days! Boston, NY, DC, and NY again. Living the dream BABY!!!

- So what's the word? Here's the word; Gioia has been booked to perform at the MYBO Grassroots Inaugural Ball 2009, the Social on Jan.19th in Washington DC!!! In our nations capital, on the eve of a historic day, Gioia will perform an extended set for several hundred people. See tour calender for specifics. I am very honored and can't wait. Woo-Whoo!

- Gioia and friends at the Greenwich Hotel in R.I. was a great time! Special thanks to all those who performed. You guys rocked!

- It was a "Love Is All We'll Know" weekend in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as Gioia performed his inspirational single at several Obama "Change Is Coming" volunteer meetings. Special thanks to all those who attended, it was an honor and a blast to brainstorm and perform for you. We accomplished a lot!

- Checkout Gioia and other performers at the Greenwich Hotel & Lounge in East Greenwich, RI. on Dec 16th at 8pm!

- Gioia is in discussions with Jenn Shaw, CEO of Jnine Media/Music Video, about the use of his music in a documentary film about the Obama campaign and volunteer staff!

- Gioia performed at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, Ma. The Center is absolutely beautiful. Stop by and check it out cause it's definitely worth the trip! (even if you get lost...... like I did!)

- Thanks to all those who braved the elements and attended the "Grassroots for Obama" rally in DC. We stared Hurricane Hanna right in the eye!s Hey this is show business; the show must go on! Special thanks to all those folks who set up the stage during the height of the storm and the 2 guys who set up my large screen TV stand during the worst of the storm. Also, special thanks to Jeanie Scheider, who flew all the way to DC from the West Coast to host the event. We love her!!! What started out as a rainy dismal day, turned into a magical evening as the hurricane blew up the east coast and Gioia was able to performed at sundown. With the capital lit up behind him, the White House lit up in front of him, the moon rising in the east and in the exact spot where Martin Luther King gave one of the most inspirational speeches in American history, Gioia wowed the National Mall with a memorable performance! President Bush was sure to hear Gioia's shout out "Peace" loud and clear!

- Come see Gioia at Grassroots for Obama rally in Washington DC! Rally starts at 3pm. Gioia to perform a 45 minute set starting at 6pm and close the rally at 9pm with a special live remix performance of "Siberia" and "Dance United". Gioia will perform the closing set with special guest dancer, Rain Gurl, of the Estate Night Club-Boston, Ma. Hope to see you there!

- Gioia added to performer list for Obama fundraiser sponsored by Grassroots for Obama. Event will take place in Washington, DC on the National Mall where Martin Luther King gave his "I have a dream" speech! Rally to take place on Sept 6th, time will be announced soon.
